About Marina

Marina has been an art director/designer in New York City for over 25 years. She has held full-time positions at Redbook Magazine, Sports Illustrated and Spring O’Brien Advertising as well as temporary positions as art director/creative services for Architectural Digest, graphic designer at Liz Claiborne and designer at Doublespace. She started Marina Brolin Design after recognizing a need for marketing materials that cut through visual clutter by communicating clearly and evocatively. Marina was also a partner for 10 years at Three Tarts - a bakery with two locations in New York City.

On a project basis, Marina has worked with such organizations as GlaxoSmithKline, McGraw-Hill, Network Associates, Library Journal and Pfizer. Along the way, she art directed the quarterly catalog and subway advertising for High 5 Tickets to the Arts; designed white papers for Spectrum, illustrated a pre-school text for the American Museum of Natural History, designed a logo for the Ackerman Institute and created a trade show exhibit for Grolier. Marina has also created corporate identities for many small businesses, including restaurants, software companies, retail stores and engineering firms. While at Spring O’Brien, Marina art directed print advertisements, collateral and direct mail for accounts such as BritRail, AIG and Microsoft.

Her work has garnered awards from Print Magazine, American Corporate Identity, Summit Design Awards and GDUSA.

Marina graduated from Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in graphic design and completed further study at Parsons School of Design and New York University. She is an expert in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office and is well-versed in print and web production processes.
